WAYNETOWN -- J. Lawrence Quick, a former resident of Waynetown, died Sunday at 1:20 p.m. at Richmond; Va., where he was a linotype operator for a Richmond daily. He was 51 years old. Death occurred suddenly, due to a heart ailment. Mr. Quick was born near Elmdale July 22, 1905, the son of James and Mattie Stout Quick. He was married to Hazel Black at Ashland, Va. He was a 1923 graduate of Waynetown High School, and a member of Elmdale Methodist Church and Mercer Masonic Lodge at Wingate. Survivors include the wife; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Kennedy of Rt. 1, Wingate, Mrs: Nina Stonebraker of Rt. 4, Crawfordsville and Mrs. Beatrice Gentry of Rt. 3, Veedersburg; and a brother-in-law, Barnum Dazey of Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Vera Dazey and Doris Quick. The body will arrive at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown Tuesday, where friends may call after 3 p.m. Funeral arrangements area incomplete.
